We are full-time wedding photographers, and I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Inn at Mount Pleasant years ago. It was a particularly difficult and stressful time during the height of Covid-19, but the couple went ahead with their wedding given that it was outdoors and in the barn with plenty of fresh air and open space for guests. I was surprised once I arrived to see just how large the property was and how picturesque the setting in the hills would be on a stunning September day. The getting ready spaces at the Inn were cute and comfortable with more great views and bright windows (always appreciated). More than anything I loved how considerate, mindful, and helpful the staff was during the entire event.

We did a partial first look as the bride looked down at her soon to be husband through the windows. Once we got to the ceremony and reception the photos really became special being able to use the full glory of the lands surrounding us. The sunset turned out to be one of those all-time moments you wish for on a wedding day first with the couple enjoying the golden rays behind them as it neared the hills. We moved around the barn and changed looks as it passed below the horizon to fill the sky with vibrant and explosive colors - it was as good as it could get! I really loved how well the barn photographed for dancing and cake cutting as well. Everything was lovely, charming, intimate, and elegant even being situated in the hills with such a country vibe. While this is written from the perspective of a small business owner, this is an unbiased and unsponsored review, and I hope to return for more weddings!

This place was fabulous! Maggie and Bob were so welcoming and warm! Our room was the John Brown room. Very comfy bed, pleasant nights sleep. We had a continental breakfast in the morning which was great and just enough. We had lovely conversation with Bob while Maggie had to go out. He even gave us his book he wrote about the process of renovating this antique home, which he signed. We had gone to a concert at the Warner Theatre so booked this place as it looked great and there aren't many hotels in the area. We are very happy we did and would revisit them again when we go to the theatre. We toured their Barn and viewed their beautiful property. Very quiet. Beautiful historic B&B with some of the best views we've ever seen. Well kept, very clean and relaxing rooms, some with a view of the entire property. The owners are extremely hospitable, you feel at home the moment you walk in. The venue space is also beautiful, it's obvious why this place is one of the top wedding locations in the area. Definitely recommend and we will be back to stay soon.

The Owners are very nice people! Property is amazing. So much history here! My room had its own separate entrance from the house which was really nice- Maggie and Bob are so friendly and welcoming! My bed was super comfortable and I have been on the road for a few months and they were kind enough to let me catch up on some laundry! The views at the property are amazing. My words will not do them justice- If you are looking for a place to crash for the night- or a few day getaway- stop here- you won't regret- I didn't! Thanks Bob and Maggie!

Maggie and Bob are excellent host and the property is very quiet and secluded. We stayed for four nights and felt very comfortable. The entire home was updated and the bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean. You can tell that the owners take great pride in maintaining their home and property. They make you feel as if you are family and are very gracious host. They have great stories to tell and are very kind. We will definitely return back to stay. Thank you Maggie and Bob!

I found this property mainly advertised for a great wedding venue. While its true, they surely deserve to be recognize for the excellent Bed&Breakfast that we decided to stay in for 1 night while exploring local. The property is a hidden gem in a very quiet and peaceful property. Maggie and Bob were excellent hosts to our entire family. My kids definitely want to come back and they mentioned it was like visiting relatives. As soon as we arrive, we got a tour of the farm, Bob played basketball with my son and later got a firepit ready to enjoy. Maggie accompany us for a little at night while encouraging the kids to find star constellations in a starry night. Our room very comfortable and clean. The owners are just such pleasant people and make you feel as if you are visiting family. We will definitely return!.

What a gem this is. The setting is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Maggie and Bob are the best hosts. The rooms are comfortable, clean and nicely appointed. Wi-Fi and tv in all rooms. Breakfast on the porch overlooking acres of countryside is a highlight. Great property for a family get-together. While in the country, it is an easy and short drive to both Litchfield and Torrington.

We had a lovely time at the Inn at Mt Pleasant. It is a charming restored farmhouse close to the lovely Litchfield and set in picturesque fields. Our trip was in late fall so the trees were exploding with colour. Our hosts Maggie and Bob were friendly and welcoming and appeared genuinely happy to have us in their home. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and homely. We travelled with a small boy who loved running around in the paddock and playing in the leaves and the barn. I thoroughly recommend The Inn at Mt Pleasant. It was a wonderful way to start our New England driving holiday.
