My boyfriend and I stayed here the 3rd weekend in October. The New England Fall foliage was in its prime! The Sachem was the perfect place to stay and I would certainly recommend it. Jennifer is a lovely innkeeper... Very attentive and chatty without being too chatty. She was immensely helpful on suggesting hikes, towns to visit and restaurants. We stayed on a Sunday & Monday evening so it wasn't busy and felt like our private home with a lovely communal siting area, coffee/tea & biscotti available any time, a small fridge to store our nibbles and a gas fireplace lit during breakfast. We stayed the Louise & Perry Averill room on the ground floor. It was roomy with a beautiful view of the lake & foliage with a great en suite bathroom and a spa bathtub. There are great hikes, cute towns and excellent dining within 15-25 minutes drive. The only critique would be that I thought it was a bit pricey for a Sunday & Monday evening... But I can also appreciate that it is a small B&B so they have to make a certain amount on each room to justify running the B&B.

My husband and I stayed two nights at this B&B and I couldn't have been more impressed. The house itself is simply immaculate. It's super clean and warm and inviting. The antique furnishings and decor are a delight! The inn keepers Jason and Jennifer were so kind and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and these inn keepers have really thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. Luxurious sheets and towels, snacks and tea, books to read by the fireplace, a delicious breakfast served each morning, even fresh flowers on the breakfast table! The pride of ownership really shows through and I don't think you would find that anywhere else. Bonus - you have lake access too! Thank you for sharing your family home with us!

My husband and I stayed at this charming B&B this past weekend. We decided to take a quick gateway just before the start of the school year. We were very happy with the accommodations. The Inn is about 2 hour drive from Long Island. It sits on a beautiful mountain top with a great view of Lake Waramaug. Our room was on the first floor off of the kitchen. At first I was worried about the noise level from the kitchen but we didn't hear a thing. The Inn is right next door to the Hopkins Winery which we recommend visiting. There is also a private beach that you have access to, but we didn't get a chance to visit. Breakfast was wonderful the following morning. We were able to sit outside on the porch and enjoy the weather. We met Jason and had a great conversation with him. He was very friendly and attentive.

I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a quiet weekend getaway for her birthday, and our stay at the Sachem Farmhouse was absolutely perfect. The room was amazing, the views of the lake and fall foliage were superb, and innkeepers Jennifer and Jason were incredibly warm and inviting. The entire stay was fantastic, and I know my girlfriend enjoyed herself as well. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future.

Such a wonderful, warm and lovely B&B. Met Jason for breakfast, while taking in lake views on the porch and he was super helpful with recommendations for activities to do around the area. The room was perfect and bed comfy. Loved to learn all the history of the farm house. Can't wait to stay there again!

Where do I start? The owners are inviting and welcoming, but give you your time and privacy as well. The breakfast is fantastic and anyone who visits should try a homemade muffin if they are available. The view is phenomenal, there is a beach nearby, sheep and a donkey graze in the field out back. This was an ideal getaway and is located near some cozy towns worth stopping in for a visit! Would highly recommend!

Four friends and I attended a school reunion in Washington this weekend and took over the B&B. We had no idea what to expect and were so happy when we arrived. My room was on the 1st floor facing Lake Waramaug and it was absolutely charming. The breakfasts were delicious and the owners couldn't have been nicer. ||Thank you, and we'll definitely be back!

I hope you will enjoy your stay at Sachem Farmhouse B&B as much as we did. The rooms were very comfortable as was the common room downstairs where you could enjoy a cuppa and read a good book. There is a lot history attached to the place which is very interesting. Breakfast was very tasty and our hosts were very helpful.
