Positive: Such a beautiful place. I had an amazing sports massage at the spa. And the front desk allowed us to check in early with an upgraded room over looking a creek and golf course with small mountains in the back. It was a very pleasant experience Negative: I wish the jacuzzi and sauna were attached to the spa and not the hotel. We wanted to hit the jacuzzi after our massages but didn't realize it was in the gym and shared by the other hotel guests not just the spa guests.

Tons of rooms in this hotel and I’m put right next to someone else. You get woken up by the people right next door coming back from the bar drunk. Hear them coughing talking and tv full blown. Weed smell in the hallway. Giant gap under the door can fit a phone underneath. Sta away from the third floor it’s run down compared to the other floors. Walls are thin as paper. Smells in the hallway like urine also up there. Front desk should be more considerate when booking and not have people right on top of each when this hotel is huge. Heated pool is NOT heated. Guy working near the gym desk tried being rude and saying well it’s not going to be like the jacuzzi, obviously wise guy. Also nothing like nude people in the locker rooms with children allowed in. Stay at your own risk

What a great find! It’s hard to travel with a big dog - especially in the northeast where hotels are just not very big dog friendly. And the ones that are, can be a little scary at times! This place was amazing. Area is quiet, nice, and a bit high end. A few good non- chain restaurants within walking distance. Hotel had a nice bar / restaurant. We were able to grab a beer and sit outside with our dog in the beautiful courtyard. Landscape was phenomenal. Big welcoming lobby. Rooms were big and spacious. They were showing their age abit and bathrooms were quite small compared to today’s hotel standard.|I will get coming back with or without my dog!

One of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had with a hotel. Had a party stay here for my wedding. Very flexible in the beginning with room blocks and answering my questions - felt good about that and the room rate was solid.
Now fast forward. They offer breakfast (which was actually delicious), and I needed to provide a headcount before. In my emails with their team, it originally sounded like I needed an official count and to pay prior. We verified that was not the case and that I would pass out tickets to my guests. Cue to after my wedding when we arrived at the hotel. Person at the front desk could NOT have been more rude. Then informed me that 'tickets were my responsibility'. I have never been so confused. I was then informed later after complaining by the staff that I was expected to create breakfast tickets for my guests, like a school art project. How in the WORLD does this make any sense vs. me estimating the folks and just having them walk down to breakfast and say their party. This is absolutely asinine to me. When I brought this up, I got a rude response that I was told this "repeatedly". I have coordinate many events in my life; this is not a thing.
Additionally, the faucet in my room was broken, which sprayed all over my freaking wedding dress and my wig. The shower was also opposite cold vs. hot. I was told when I called down...would have been nice to know since they seemed fully aware and I wasted 20 minutes of the morning after my wedding and was late to my own breakfast because I was under the assumption that there was no hot water. The rooms are run down; furniture is scratched, tubs are stained, carpet is disgusting. My cousins' room had literal blood in it.
This hotel and space has a lot of potential. The grounds are nice, the place is huge. There is a tavern. The food is solid. The staff is so next level rude. And for this reason, I will not be back and neither will anyone in my party.
Learn how to run a business.

I kept seeing this hotel online and thought it would be great for my son and I to have an overnight. We got here and I was very underwhelmed and honestly quite annoyed. Our room was right near the 2nd lobby where everyone gathers and it was so loud. The mattresses had pretty good dips in them, and the bathroom fan was extremely loud. I also had to pay $5.00 extra for a microwave to heat my son’s food as he has a special food diet. We left the pool because it was so cold and later on when we were looking through the upstairs lobby, we saw throw up in the pool. A bunch of us saw it and it was quite gross. I’m sure for conferences this place is great. But for a nice overnight with my child-it was quite frustrating.

We stayed here for a weekend for a friend’s wedding, the room’s could use a renovation as they were a little outdated but overall we enjoyed our stay. The gym and pool area is great. We loved the pub downstairs to meet up with friends for drinks.

Stayed one night here as a stopover to break up a long drive home. Unfortunately, my itinerary didn’t allow me to indulge in the many amenities of the place, like the indoor heated salt-water pool, impressive exercise facilities, on-site dining and more. My stay was a comfortable one though, with a large, well-appointed room, excellent bedding, quality TV with good cable channel selections, etc. ||Front desk staff seemed a bit distant but were efficient enough and professional. Grounds and facilities are very attractive, and the resort is located in a beautiful corner of Connecticut. Really wished I’d had more time here and will likely return some time in the future.
