Never ate their ice cream, the guy was really rude and make sure you have cash or a "check" they don't accept cards! It was my mom and I first time every even going there and probably we be my last... the way that guy made my mom and I feel was not acceptable

Little place that you'd never notice. There's a small sign at the intersection its easily missed or overlooked. They're located on a dead end street, it's a commercial manufacturing ice cream factory, with a small sales room that sells factory rejects and over runs of current production so the inventory changes regularly. They have a large glass window so you can see into the shop and see what is being made. Be patient while checking out, often a person from the production line will cash you out. Everytime I've been over the past 20 years I've never had an unpleasant experience and I've been here lots of times, pretty much weekly for close to ten years while preforming landscaping in the area, we'd swing in for a treat every week during the summer.
Check them out, it's a hidden gem that makes top end ice cream desserts for 5 star restaurants.

Legendary!! Forever a Manchester staple! Recently on their website and can’t believe everything that they have to offer: weddings, parties, graduations desserts in bulk …you can always get some of their favorites at Highland Park market in Manchester…I recommend a chipwich …Im sure most people would but also their spumoni slices, so good!

I am so glad I found Royal when trying to find an ice cream cake for my boyfriend's birthday. They had plenty in stock among other pies and treats. The guys working there were so friendly and they asked if I wanted a message written on my cake. This ice cream is amazing and so much better than the generic stuff. Only $5 for a half gallon of ice cream. I can't wait to come back.

If you live in the Manchester, Glastonbury, South Windsor, Bolton area and have not been here, GO. Their ice cream is genuine and so reasonably priced. They have special treats like toasted almond, spumoni, chocolate bombs - things you don't find in a Grocery freezer. Very different and gourmet. Also, their cakes can't be beat. SO much less expensive than most others and better.

Down at the end of Warren road right off South Main after Hackmetack. Don't do dumb thing I did..try to open doors of first house where sign is. Grew up in Manchester and never knew there. They have been there 94 years. Picked up two half gallons. Very cool to support local!!! And my mom said the Royal ice cream owner once shared a hospital room with my dad and "he is a very lovely man" $5 half gallon. Can't wait to try!

Well the entrance is a trip you have to know how to button hook to get in here. Wheels all the way forward and you might have to move one of the neighbor's garbage cans. It's tight and there's no dock I'm still waiting to see how they load.
