I grew up in CT and believe there's something to be said about Connecticut grinders (besides the fact that most states don't use the term "grinder". For my birthday this September, I really wanted a cooked salami grinder from CT. My parents, who live about 2 hours away from me in CT, said "if you want a grinder, we gotta go to CJs".

I called CJ's and Nick answered the phone. I explained I live about 2 hours away and asked if there was any way they could prepare a grinder so it'd still be fresh. He replied, "no problem, we do this all the time". They gave me a perfectly packaged deconstructed grinder and explained how to assemble it and heat it up. I also had asked if they had any gluten free options for my wife. He said they did not, but allowed my parents to bring in a gluten free roll. He didn't think it would travel well on the roll, so he cut the roll and provided all the fillings to create it (just like the other one).

The grinders were fantastic! They were beyond expectations. My wife loved hers as well. Thank you Nick and the team at CJ's!

Not the most fantastic pizza, but the cheese…. The cheese is what does it here for me. I like this much better than Wilson’s and some of the other highly rated pizza in the area, but not my favorite.

There's a reason why CJ's has such a stellar reputation locally, the food is fantastic. Chicken cutlet grinder, turkey club grinder, any grinder. Oh and the pizza is great too. Love this place.

I ordered a small pizza and an order of cheese ravioli. It was a busy Friday night and the order did take over 1.5 hours, but it was worth the wait. The staff was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of orders they were trying to keep up with, but nonetheless were polite and attentive to all customers. My kids loved the cheese ravioli and the pizza was hot and fresh. I also enjoyed the local lemonade they had. Will definitely come back for more pizza in the future!

I wish we took better pictures before devouring the food! This picture isn’t going to do it any justice.
I have been trying pizza restaurants inside and outside my area, switching from one to the other and only getting a 6s or 7s. I found this place on google and decided to try it and I have found my new pizzas spot! The pizza is so delicious, the sauce, the cheese pull and the dough were all perfect. The chicken wings were crispy and tasty. The service was so warm, homey and the owner gave me a coke on the house! What a service!

THE best chicken parm grinder I’ve ever had. CJ’s understands that for a grinder to be good, it doesn’t have to be so packed with toppings that you can barely take a bite. So yummy…….

This place is a genuine family owned restaurant. Our server was welcoming with an understanding of patient. The food was worth the wait even in the middle of rush hour. The portions to price ratio is generous. We are new loyal forever customers.

Overall a very great place to eat and have drinks rather with adults or children.
The atmosphere was wonderful and service was with a smile. Our waitress was very attentive. The Buffalo chicken a bit spicy but if you can withstand that you're sure to be pleased.
