The staff at this hotel are exceptionally friendly and attentive. A special shoutout goes to the blonde woman at the front desk—her warm and cheerful demeanor truly stood out. Every morning during breakfast, she made a point to greet everyone with a bright “good morning,” creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere. She is not only elegant and kind but also incredibly capable, handling all tasks effortlessly and with professionalism.

The hotel itself is spotless, with a clean and well-maintained environment that made our stay comfortable. Its convenient location added to the overall experience, making it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. We absolutely loved our time here and can’t recommend it enough!

We got a suite and it was such a comfortable space, stay, with all amenities we needed including kitchen with utensils, dishes, etc! Breakfast had enough variety and perfect location, as your 5 minutes from tons of food places, shopping, etc. Great experience overall!

The Good: (* the Bad is below)

I loved this hotel! It was perfect until the end due to the manager.

The bed was perfect, the pillows were fluffy, the room was clean. The kitchenette was very user friendly. Its comparison would be a Hyatt Place hotel.

The breakfast was fabulous! Scrambled eggs with cheese, sausage, chocolate muffins, waffles, bagels and cream cheese. Everything was fresh! The hotel was quiet and restful. The pool & hot tub were nice after a long day. The location is excellent!

I would say I would feel safe enough to walk to the convenience store, restaurants, movie theaters etc after Dark. Located in a major shopping area so you have access to everything you could need. Most of the staff were nice.

Outside there's an interesting tree that had Lovebirds and a host of other birds to watch. I'm not even a bird person and I was impressed!

The Bad:
Everything was absolutely wonderful until the last day when the manager confronted me about my disability device. (* actually the first night the front desk person did yell out to me in a rude tone PLEASE DON’T RIDE THAT IN THE HOTEL! And then I told her it's my disability device so she let it go.)

We had a ground floor room for disability accommodations so the staff knew I am disabled.

On the last day the manager approached me and asked me to please not ride my scooter. I explained it's my disability device,  I use it for Mobility, and that it's covered under the Americans for Disabilities Act.

She purported that it was leaving black marks on the rug, so would I please not ride it in the hotel. I asked her about these black marks? I was horrified if that were the case.

She continued to tell me to not ride it in the hotel for the “safety of other guests.” I went back to my room to retrieve documents that I travel with from my doctor and the Americans for Disabilities website regarding other power driven Mobility devices, as this is a topic that is frequently legally violated with companies.

Under the Ada: disabled Americans have the right to choose their device for locomotion to include segways, hoverboards, and electric stand-up scooters. I requested she join me in the breakfast area for a chat.

Her tone was not friendly or understanding. She listened and then told me that she was aware of what the Ada website says, pointing out that it says I could use it BUT only if it's safe and it was not safe for other guests.

And it does say that, however, I explained that my scooter is only 5 in wide, and 30 lb and wheelchairs are much bigger and way around 300 lb so if it was a safety issue- is she also letting people in wheelchairs know that they have to walk theirs because of safety for guests? It's literally discrimination to allow one and not the other. And for me to be harassed because mine was different- is not legal!

The conversation was very stressful for me. She was not receptive to what I was saying and (it was odd there was no more talk about these so-called “black marks” on the carpet) of which there were none. It was simply about me not using my choice of device.

I felt discriminated against, very stressed out and humiliated from this interaction, it was still bothering me hours later. I left feeling unwelcome, embarrassed, frustrated, and shamed, and my wonderful stay & view on this hotel was ruined.

I definitely think some training for more awareness of the Ada laws, sensitivity and tone is warranted.

I will be calling to file a report on her for Ada discrimination, harassment and distress.

I am an ADA educator, & a top 10% Google hotel reviewer. Her behavior did not pass the test. According to other reviews she is a repeat violator.

The hotel, rooms, and grounds are spotless. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and very professional. The morning breakfast has so much variety (scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, muffins, breakfast burritos, and cereal). The location is outstanding with Arrowhead Mall and Frys supper grocery store close by. Also, Costco is 2 blocks away. I highly recommend Residence Inn Peoria. It's a great place to stay.

There are so many things about this hotel that should be given five stars. Unfortunately there's a few things that should be given two stars so I'm averaging it out. Everyone who works there is very kind and friendly. The heated swimming pool is so much fun. But be prepared for Arizona level heating at about 78°. The jacuzzi is nice and hot but the bubbles only blow cold air so the Jets are not putting out any hot water. Beautiful bunnies roam around in the grass out front and make a beautiful sight. The landscaping is beautiful. The breakfast is phenomenal and beyond anything I've had anywhere else. The staff that manages the food downstairs are more friendly than you can imagine. They even offer to help you carry extra food to your room if you have lots that you're taking up for other family members. The entry area and seating area with the fireplace and a beautiful Christmas tree throughout the season have been amazing. We have stayed in this hotel during renovation. We stayed on a floor that was already completed. Unfortunately there were quite a few things not functioning well. The dishwasher doesn't wash the dishes well at all. Anything we have reported as a problem has been fixed as quickly as possible. Drapes took two days initially and then a few weeks for the complete repair. Water leaking in the bathroom took at least a week. Fireplace was fixed within 5 minutes. Other problems it has been clear they have gone out of their way to do everything they could to remedy any problem immediately as much as possible. Unfortunately we have felt very let down by housekeeping. Despite their friendliness and kindness, there does not seem to be any dedication to keeping the resort in a high level state of cleanliness. Very deep dust piled on dressers and broken glass left under the edge of curtains. The quality of the vacuum cleaners is not very good. One was loans to us to use for a few minutes and seemed to not have a filter so as to blow dust around the room. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it.

The front desk woman is absolutely miserable to deal with.

She speaks to people with zero tact or customer service, and she will make it clear to you that her intention is to be rude, she should be taken somewhere that she isn't allowed around people while she works.

You can legally smoke 20 feet from the door, I had to come to an understanding with her that as long as no one was outside around me, I could smoke. I left it alone.

She lectured me on keeping glass bottles away from the pool, we never went into the pool area, what was the point of that? I left it alone.

she made us and other guests outside uncomfortable with her staring and loitering around us while we were trying to wind down after working all day. I left it alone.

Our last night at this location two guests got locked in the pool area and could not get out, when I went to the front desk to inform her that guests were stuck inside the pool area she made a comment about how they shouldn't have been in there so late, and then to my face told me she wished the door I came through locked as well past ten, and then kicked my group from the patio area saying it was time for us to leave the area

Listen lady, I don't usually pull this "I'm the customer card"

But who do YOU think YOU are to speak to people this way and keep your job 🙂 ? We have ambassadors in our work group and Marriott corporate is who I'm calling tomorrow.

1 star because of you. Enjoy.
