We lucked out and were able to get ice cream a couple minutes before they closed at 4 pm. The girl was super sweet. Perfect ending to our spring break camping trip!

Would do half of a star if possible. First of all we waited for at least 20 minutes at the window then were told not to touch the menus. The blondish brown headed server/ cashier was very rude to me and my family. We paid over $40 for our food and it was partly cold and tasted horrible. When we ask to exchange it or at least attempt to get something from them that was fresh they would not allow it. We left and drove over to the Island Rainbow establishment where they provided us with the best moderately priced food and beverages. It also had the upmost sweetest atmosphere and people there. We will definitely be going back to the Island Rainbow but we will not be back to this awful terrible place!!

Just stopped in to get one cup of ice cream, chocolate and vanilla swirl.. first I had to wait outside the window for what seemed like way too long, then she repeated my order back WRONG. I told her again and she seemed okay with it but when she brought it to the window it was WRONG. I refused it and she then brought it back in a tiny little cup which cost $8.01 plus a $1.00 tip. I put the tip on prior to seeing how small the cup was. My husband got 4 teaspoons of ice cream in this cup. Way too expensive and not even good quick service.

We stopped by for two chocolate lattes this morning. I wish we could say we loved it but it tasted like they poured day old black coffee that was burnt in our cups. Maybe their sandwiches and ice cream are good but the coffee we got was horrible. We threw it away, not even good enough to drink. The service was very friendly. We love supporting local businesses on our trips here maybe next time we will try the food.

We enjoyed the ice cream and Coke floats. Seems kinda crazy that they close at 4:00pm when the ferry is still running and packed. I bet we watched 20 people go to the window after they closed and we were on the 5pm ferry.

I was completely turned off by the lady asking for our change of $5 for a tip for her "wedding / honeymoon" tip jar. As she was giving us our change, she said... "that is for the tip jar, right?"
Other than that, the ice cream was average and the location was great.
I wouldn't return though.

Thankful for this cafe as we waited in the heat of the ferry line. Soda and ice cream goes a long way to helping pass the time.

My wife and I stopped by for a couple of beers, and the young lady Winter was such a sweetie. We had never visited Dauphin island before and she shared her love of the island with us, and places to go. The view from the concession was just beautiful.
