Agree with the reviews about the smell and the sketch location. It's nauseating. My work booked this place for me based on the reviews being high on average but I'm at a loss to explain how that ever happened. It's a terrible location. I'm in a bed right now with old stains and the trash truck just came by at 1am and made a ton of noise so I'm awake writing this review to bring the average down to a realistic expectation for future visitors. I've asked my company to relocate me. If that doesn't happen, I would rather pay out of pocket to go somewhere else. I can see that they've tried to make updates and spray the lobby with loads of air freshener to try and mask the odor, but there's only so much you can do when the smells have permeated through everything and this is just not a well loved area of Phoenix. It's giving old hotel on Fremont Street. Would not recommend.

I have stayed in Sonesta in NJ and CA but this place is different and didn't meet the expectations. The hotel is located very closer to the free way and easy to locate, not too far from PHX. the parking lot is enough and you should be able to find easy parking at most times. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They engage in conversations based on how we interact.
As you enter the hotel area the strong odor or smoke smell makes you feel that you made a wrong choice.
The hotel rooms were good nicely maintained and spacious. The Kitchen is good for making food while you stay, and they got some extra utensils based on request. The AC worked just fine and overall, I liked this location except the strong odor in common areas of the hotel.

Kharizma is so wonderful and the stay here has been amazing. No complaints. They cleaned out room on the correct day and everything was so clean. We left a different hotel that was disgustingly horrible and now getting a refund from that other place! Sonesta simply suites has renewed our faith in hotels again due to always being friendly and going above and beyond. ❤️❤️

The employees were lovely but the rooms were so awful, the whole place was, really. Everywhere smelled like weed, there was a lady outside waiting for her drop off, there were stains all over the place, broken handles, sticky messes like soda spilled in the rooms that was never cleaned, walls covered in sticky streams of something. So dusty and dirty. People walking around barefoot, it was awful and I didn't feel safe. Pay the extra 20 and go somewhere better, unless of course this is exactly what you're looking for.

For a sonesta, it was good. Big spacious rooms, kitchenette, hot tub and pool, fas grills out back, fitness center, laundry room with many washers and dryers, good location and staff was nice. No bugs noticed and no bites on me. Great water pressure.

Everything was perfect, except the traffic noise. But we booked a room we could have with our dog with us, so we were on the highway side. Traffic was loud but tolerable. Would stay again, though. Room was well equipped

Great for clean few frills accommodation. Spacious rooms with full kitchenettes, fantastic laundry facilities! Pool. Parking is added cost though only $5 a day which for the concept of the hotel is fair.

First let me start out by saying the positives. The room was clean the hotel was quiet overnight. Now let me talk about the negatives. When we arrive in the hallway going to our room was a very strong smell of marijuana. The room though it was clean the furniture definitely needed some updating it looked like it was worn out. We had two small dogs accompanying us nowhere on your website does it stayed with the charge would be. My bad for not asking when I booked the room online I should have called. To our shock the charge for the two small dogs was $84 almost the cost of the room itself. In the parking lot the following morning there was a gentleman sitting in his vehicle assuming he was a guest either doing drugs or just smoking marijuana. The area around the hotel looks into the questionable. Suggestion maybe you should post on your website what the charge would be for a dog.
