Amazing local spot! Found this place on a whim and it is now my new local spot. The staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming. Got their vegan breakfast burrito and it was amazing. It was not too heavy or greasy, which is a big win in my book. Also got their vegan Vietnamese coffee and it was so yummy. Not too sweet or bitter, which is so hard to get right!

Fantastic spot. Super friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food. We loved the banh mi and sausage breakfast burrito. The drinks were also awesome. So happy we live so close so we can visit often.

Upon first arrival, it was a nice laid back atmosphere - as well as from the male cashier/employee. Their Meatball 🧆 Sub, Strawberry Coissant 🍓🥐 , AND Vietnamese Coffee ☕ was DELICIOUS. I'm definitely no avid coffee drinker, but I definitely recommend their Vietnamese Coffee ☕ (their Thai Tea could improve better). Really nice joint for spending time with family playing Mario Cart w/ championship 🏆 on Thursdays.

This place is outstanding! We came for Gluten Free desserts which was primarily cupcakes, cookie sandwiches & macarons. We got macarons which are naturally gf so we weren’t too excited but they had real fruit purée inside them! Totally impressed! And the Chai latte was perfect temp and real spices. The Butterfly Pea Strawberry & mango lemonades with popping boba were outstanding! Staff were very friendly and sweetly courteous and touched when we loved their goods. 💕 Great place to hang and work too. So glad we found this place. 🫶🏼

I stopped by this coffee / pastry shop a few months ago when visiting Phoenix for a training. I was getting drinks and pastries for myself and 2 other co-workers, and accidentally spilt my drink all over the inside and outside of my car. I went back in to pay for a new drink, and the workers not only made me a new drink for free- they also provided me with supplies to help clean my car. The quality of the food/drinks were top notch too!

Did you know inside of Bak & Jo in Mesa there is a vegan and gluten free baker? Sweet Simon Cakes is the name. In the case daily, they have mini cakes called Bento cakes (chocolate and vanilla with sprinkles, perfect for the last minute I need a cake 😉), single cupcakes and huge cookie sandwhich - ALL VEGAN & GF !!! You can also call ahead and request something custom.
Now IMO the frosting is on the sweet side BUT I also mostly eat unrefined sweetened foods and lightly sweetened drinks as well but the flavors are there and most people have that sweet tooth so it won’t be too much for those types 😂

Yesterday we finally made it to Bak & Jo and even though they are not fully vegan they have really delicious breakfast/lunch options as well that also include gluten free options. Honestly probably one of the best tasting breakfast burritos I’ve had (requested to be made on a gluten free wrap), just notify if you have an intolerance or allergy. Also devoured by my 7 year old who is just as a foodie as I am.

The staff is really friendly and informative as to what was vegan and what was not.

I honestly can’t wait to try more drinks, treats and the best breakfast burrito ever.

My favorite go-to coffee shop!
Every time I go here, I am always treated so well! Borin, Kary, and Jesse are always so welcoming and I love that they always remember us when we come in. The rest of the team is also so sweet and welcoming. I’ve never had a bad experience and the food and drinks are always 10/10. We got to try the fruity pebbles macaroons today and they were amazing! The breakfast burrito and croissants are also soo good! Best coffee in Mesa, too!

What a great find. Beautiful and welcoming bakery and espresso shop. Super friendly staff serving up amazing beverages and baked goods.

We will definitely be returning often. Looking forward to trying other menu items.
