The hotel looks great from the outside and the grounds well kept. Inside public areas appeared run down and dirty. Staff was lackadaisical at best. Waited up to 10 minutes at front desk at one point. The problems were with my the room and the other guests. For the room: run down, old furnishings. Kitchen was not stocked (no pots, pans, utensils, etc...) and, wait for it, roaches. With no pesticides available from housekeeping, I bought my own and used it often. Before checking out I sprayed everything including suitcase and contents and still found a roach when I got home (I left my bag on the porch for 2 days). For the guests: during my three night stay I saw 2 police visits, one ambulance call and one parking lot brawl. Lots of loitering in the lobby and public areas.
Back in the day, I loved staying at hotels with kitchens, etc., but I cannot recommend this hotel or find much good to say about my stay. The bedding was clean and other than the roach that crawled across my arm one night, I had not issues with bugs.

My boyfriend and I came to stay for 1 night turns out we needed to stay another night and thanks to the front desk clerk and manager they made that happen. They went out the way to price match us with the rates online so we were really happy! If you come here for one night chances are you might stay here again the next day! Friendly staff. Excellent customer service. Very attentive. Making sure the customer is happy. 5 stars!

I was in my room for 30 days, and needed a place to go that took cash because I did not yet have a credit/debit card available, due to having closed one account and having to wait for the next business day to open up a new bank account. I was in a very stressful situation and they were able to help me on the spur of the moment. The room was clean, and I had all I needed to store food and dishes that I bought or brought. I was located next to an exit door, which gave me easy access to my vehicle for loading and unloading. I was given my deposit at the end of my stay plus, full taxes back for staying a full 30 days. Aside from other tenants who did not follow rules by smoking in their rooms, all else was was good.

The front desk persons are amazingly accommodating, really upholding the ideals of what customer service is. Not to mention the room, it is massive! My stay is worth more than what I paid for. Thank you much Xochitl for giving such grand and unforgettable place to stay. It’s one of the best places to stay in downtown Phoenix.

Very dirty and in need of lots of repairs. Halls smelled like pee. Everything in this place was dirty Pull-out sofa bed had no sheets or blankets. Should have been set on fire. Pull-out was crushed and badly stained. And a bar & hot cocoa/coffee I wouldn't call breakfast. Won't be back.

Let me start by saying the general manager Tom & the manager Gina are both amazing people who listen to their guests and their needs. I'm a resident here. I can honestly say that whatever issues were here when I moved in are certainly not here now . Their staff has done an amazing job of cleaning and securing the grounds of this hotel. Rooms are clean and the coffee is hot in the morning. I have found that if there is something I am needing the staff is sure to help make sure I can locate whatever it is I am in need of. I want to be honest so you don't think I am sugar coating.. a month and a half ago this review wouldn't have been this nice. I live here because it is close to St Joe's hospital I am a stroke survivor and since Tom has gotten here he truly has made the customers and residence feel heard & comfortable. This is a place I'm happy to call a (temporary)home.

Hi, I just want to give a standing ovation to the young receptionist who works here by the name of Sochi! She is an absolutely refreshing person—respectful, kind and caring/compassionate—and willing to go above and beyond for hotel guests and their needs. She helped me when I was expressing a minor yet last-straw inconvenience that was on my mind at that moment. As you know, traveling can be very hard on you, and I was so stressed. She is the very image of what customer service should be, and I think she should get a raise or at least be named Employee of the Month.

First off I stayed there during the summer time.
AC work just fine.
I didn't I didn't get any bed bugs.
My big beef is the people that live there forever with their kids.
Room appeared to be clean.
I am a smoker but had enough respect to go outside when I wanted to have a cigarette.
That's where you got to be careful in that area.
I would suggest if you got people that are going to live there forever that they be put on a different floor than the people who are just going to be spending a night or two is my only suggestion.
