This property is not fancy, there are no amenities, the shower in our room was about the size of an RV shower and we booked a king-size room. There was no bathtub, nothing fancy at all. What you are paying for is the atmosphere and location of this hotel. This is a historic hotel with charm, it takes you back in time and allows you to experience Flagstaff back in the day. I stay here because of the coffee bar/ cocktail lounge Rendezvous! The cocktails and coffee are incredible, I love the Whiskey Chai. The staff is very nice and the star room where you can sit and drink your coffee/cocktail is enchanting. I just love it!

The hotel staff is hit and miss, the person who checked us in was not friendly, and she continued to be not very accommodating throughout our stay, however, the second day when I went to request a room change due to an issue with the shower in my room, the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodated our room change.

I recommend calling the hotel when you book and asking for what kind of room you are looking for, do you need a bathtub, do you need a large room or are you okay with a smaller room? Each room is very unique and they do not show you what you are booking when you book online.

I do recommend this place, it's great, you just have to know what you are booking when you book it.

If you want a very cool experience and to step back in time then this is the place! Is it a little outdated and needs some work? Yes, however it's an old building! We stayed on the second floor, room 212, in a traveler's room. We didn't mind walk down the hall to shower or use the bathroom. For more money you can get a room with the bathroom inside. Our room was very cool, I loved the old feel and the comforters that bring you back in time. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. Location was absolutely PERFECT!!!!! The only downside was parking but that's because of the location we would absolutely stay here again!!!!

Stayed at this hotel for an hour. No AC, could hear music blasting from the top floor farthest room. Bathroom was small and dingy. The front desk was nice enough to let us cancel. Would highly recommend avoiding this place.

My husband and I stopped in Flagstaff during a road trip and randomly booked this hotel. While it does have a cool old-school vibe, our experience left a lot to be desired. We booked a king room with a jacuzzi tub (room 220). The room itself was fine, but there was no AC. Normally, that wouldn’t be a big deal, but the fan was so caked with dust that we couldn’t use it without worrying about it blowing dust everywhere.

The worst part of our stay was the noise. There’s a bar in the hotel that had a live band and a DJ playing club music until 2 a.m. We should have been told about this when checking in. We called the front desk and asked to speak with the manager, Jessica, and were told she would be in at 6 a.m. When we went to the front desk the next morning, the staff member we spoke to was rude, claimed Jessica wasn’t in, and completely dismissed us.

Overall, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel and definitely wouldn’t stay there again.

Location is great to be able to access anything in the central part of town. It's about an hour drive to the Grand Canyon from here. Parking is next to the building but a small parking lot. Two different bars on site could hear some of the noise from the bar from the room. But it didn't effect sleep any.

Pros:
+ LOCATION: You are right in the middle of downtown Flagstaff.

Cons:
- Parking: I booked through the hotel's website. The confirmation email I received said parking is available nearby for $50 a day. We found a parking structure across the street for $36, only to be told at check-in the hotel does have limited free parking available.

- Customer Service: When I brought up the confusion of the parking in the confirmation email, the response was, "I don't know anything about the email." At checkout we were not even asked about our stay.

- Room: Our room was sized as expected and comfortable enough. The cleanliness was lacking - mold in the grout of the bathroom tile, fingernail trimmings on the floor, and two unidentified bugs in the bedding. The room was also ran down, chipped paint, rickety chairs, poorly done retrofitting of electrical outlets - power was run across the walls and covered with cord covers instead of running the cords inside the walls. We expected quirky, but we also expected clean and big free.

Air Conditioner: Kept the temperature comfortable but being a window unit it was noisy at times.

I would not recommend this Hotel.

The locations is absolutely fantastic!! We love the old historic hotels, but this one needs a deep clean. Given the abundance of fixture designs, it seems some replacements could be invested in and provide the opportunity for cleaner, updated better functioning light fixtures and plumbing,while maintaining the historic vibe.|During our two night stay, only one front desk person was friendly and helpful, the young man on duty on Friday afternoon.|Parking is challenging. there is a small lot but it is not gated or secured so we had to street park. |The lounges were very popular at night, surprisingly the music was muted so it did not bother us, but it might disturb some folks.

It's a really cool place to stay but I did have an issue. Check out time is 11am, but twice before 10:45 I had housekeeping knocking on my door. I replied.... Yes, but both times but they still just walked in on me. That's completely unacceptable before check out time. Period.

Thankfully management fully understood this unprofessional behavior and provided me a full refund. Hopefully no one else ever deals w that again.
