We stayed here for a little over a year, and it was nice in the beginning.
Pros: The location is nice, and everything is close by. The staff in front and the maintenance people were very friendly. The rooms were furnished with a fridge and stove.
Cons: The head of the security and the manager (the man) were rude. I never once smoked here but random people were leaving cigarette butts on the stairs (outside my room) and I got a warning saying if it were to happen again, I would get a fee so I tried talking to both the manager and the head of security but they just said since it was close to my room, it was my responsibility to clean it up. The manager then started raising his voice, saying it is what it is and that it's not their responsibility but mine. So I just left it at that. Thankfully, I was moving in less than a month. Also, this place is roach infested, and people can not park decently in the parking lot, I found that security only gives warnings to diverse people as I received one although I would always park within the lines. I just couldn't take the rudeness here, so I finally left. Stay away from here if you can.

It's a retirement facility disguised as a hotel with the desire to be an apartment complex as far as I can tell. It has barely functioning internet that you have to pay for and I reiterate that it barely works. They NAT 3 it so you can't use your gaming consoles because it's a retirement facility and boomers don't like games. They label it a business instead of a residential building so you can't get your own internet either. It's a shitty thing to do honestly. I have had upstairs neighbors and you can hear every single step. You have 0 privacy here because the walls are thin and the walk ways quake when people go by. They had an inspection done that said they can open your door anywhere between 9 am and 4 pm which is shady as hell. Especially if you have pets. I had to personally clean up mold on the windows. They have a problem with doing as little as they can get away with like a hotel. There is 0 excuse why this place shouldn't have fiber internet if they wanna charge 50 dollars for 3 devices for bottom of the barrel internet connection. 🙄 My personal experience and opinions are the above and also beliefs are that this place is just a cow they intend to milk while they starve it to death.

Lived here for a little over a month so far. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Units are pretty decent, biggish bedroom, full size appliances. It's pet friendly, but no one picks up after their dogs and so they have it so you can walk them on the outer strips but not in the middle of the complex. Really the only issue I have is the parking lot. It's first come, first serve, which is fine there are always enough spaces, but it's super narrow

Do not stay here unless you have zero other options (which I did) and I still regret coming here. Overly expensive at almost $400/week for a one-bedroom "suite" that is extremely small. I didn't think it was too bad until I was ONE day late on my weekly rent and some lady was harassing us at the door for our money. They knocked and harassed us everyday until we just moved. They also sent as a late rent notice and it was 4x the amount we owed. They wanted us to pay an additional $1000 just for being ONE day late. They also wouldn't let me purchase wifi or laundry while our rent was late even though we were considered "residents" because we stayed over a month. They get away with these illegal acts because you don't sign a lease with them therefore, you don't have many rights. horrible horrible.

I don't understand how some people are willing to live here long-term unless they're out of options. The price you pay here is what you would pay for a 2 bedroom or more.

Use to work for them and never ran into any issues that we couldn't solve. Great place to work at , management is still great to people and very professional. Rooms are nice , maintenance crew is quick on work orders and their pool is beautiful. Csr's/customer service representatives are friendly and this place has its own security on site.

The location is great for the shopping only...but run!!! Once u get in, you can never afford to leave. It's a trap! The roaches are horrible, horrible, horrible. You literally have to sleep with the lights on! Once you look beyond the surface, it's just not a safe environment at all...the drug problem in the area is out of control.

Leaving my real name private due to safety concerns.

I've been here since last year, I have credit issues and have been staying here while I take care of my financial situation. The property is very nice, and mostly clean and manicured. The rooms are comfortable for one person, and that's me - one person, a single, unmarried, childless woman with no pets, and never one guest during my time here.

In the time I've stayed here, I've had signal issues for internet every day. I have paid for internet here several times, and during the first few months I lived here, it worked just fine. In the last two months, I've paid four times and it hasn't worked at all. I mentioned it once at about 8PM when I was doing a college assignment, and got a little attitude from Jovita, so I never complained again. I have three other ISPs I alternate between because this area is a WiFi "dead zone" so it's kind of how you have to do it if you need internet for school and work, and I do.

I didn't move my personal things in until April because of the cockroach infestation, but keeping my personal items in storage was getting too expensive. The cockroach problem could be solved easily by housekeeping, but I've seen why it isn't first hand. When one of my neighbors moved out, the three housekeepers who were next door "cleaning" spent more time looking at the items in my window and making comments about them than they did actually cleaning the unit.

I get that there may be some "questionable" people here, but if Budget Suites does criminal background checks on their tenants, why do they not treat their tenants like tenants instead of criminals?

On October 1, I was followed by two people who live in this complex. A girl who lives here intervened and told me they were about to attack me. On October 2, my downstairs neighbor banged on my floor several times and then came up to my apartment banging on my door screaming at me that I was causing a "noise disturbance." Derry, the security guard, came up after the psycho downstairs neighbor left, and had a notice for me saying I was making too much noise AFTER my downstairs neighbor literally SCREAMED at me and pounded on my door (I've never met him in my life). I mentioned the incident the night before, that I was followed and almost attacked, and Derry said I was "making a big deal out of it."

I reported it to Rosie at the office who was very nice and transferred me to Jake, the manager, who did assure me that it would not happen again, and it hasn't. However, the experience stays with me because it is not the first time something terrifying has happened here, it's just the first time I've taken the time out of my hectic life to document every single incident that has occurred in the last month. The two incidents I'm including in this review are not the only things that have happened to me since living here, but again, as a single childless woman, I realize not everyone approves of my life choices to not be married, even though it isn't anyone's business.

ALSO:

From about February to April of this year, random guys would come sit outside my apartment to smoke, and would record me on video. I have never spoken to or introduced myself to anyone here, other than people who work here. It's super creepy to pay rent to be stalked and harassed, then when you finally stand up for yourself and report it to security, they claim you're "making a big deal out of it" and blame you for making noise.

Makes one wonder what would happen if a single woman who "makes noise" in one of these units was screaming bloody murder needing help. Would she get it? Or would they serve her with a notice?

Anyway, mostly good experiences, but the bad ones make me afraid to continue living here. Financial situation makes it so I have to, and there are much worse places a single woman could be in this situation, Budget Suites is probably the best option for a single, struggling, childless woman to get back on her feet and reintegrate back into society so that she can be a productive American citizen.

Infested with cockroaches, on the 3rd floor and there is nothing but cockroaches to the point where I bought my own spray because the exterminator is too dumb to realize it's a whole infestation and not just a couple cockroaches. Exterminator barely sprayed anything and put a trap down when the whole building needs to be gassed to get rid of all the cockroaches in all of the units!!!!!!! I have never seen/killed so many cockroaches in one place ever I can't even sleep without thinking of all the cockroaches coming out and running all on my belongings im a clean freak and there is no sort of clean to keep them away they are everywhere literally everywhere I am not making this up believe me when I say this place is infested with cockroaches!!!!!
