BEWARE and STAY AWAY from this hotel. If you want to breathe air, this place IS NOT for you.

We had to stay a night in Phoenix for another one of my Dr. appointments and as we walked into this place, it already reeked like cleaning supplies. We got to our hotel room and the whole way up it already smelled heavy and like perfume. The elevator on the way up, was dirty and filthy and looked like it wasn't cleaned in weeks. When we walked into the room I immediately got an asthma attack it smelled so strong. My husband, who doesn't have allergies, immediately said his throat hurts. The guy at the reception switched us rooms, but it literally smelled as bad. And here is the worst part. THE WINDOWS DO NOT OPEN, so you can't even air it out. Needless to say, we had to switch hotels. When contacted about the issue, you would think they would be courteous enough to at least refund you the night for services not rendered as we left before 7pm, explaining why. Or at least offer a partial refund. But NO we are not getting one cent back, even though we couldn't stay the night. If you read some of the negative reviews of this place, please believe them. I didn't and am therefore stuck with $300 on my credit card that I have to pay back somehow.

By far the best hotel Iโ€™ve ever stayed out! The staff, rooms, and everything was astonishing. We had to leave this hotel for a night and stay at another closer to where we traveled to and it was a horrible experience. We loved this hotel so much that we came back a second time. It was also so quiet you could barely tell that you were in a hotel room! The rooms were so spacious my family of 4 were very comfortable. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Arizona!!

wouldn't know about the room as I never got into one.... Check-in time is 3PM, tried to check in 3:15pm, not ready. Told to come back in 10-15 minutes and it'd be ready, gave them 1/2 hour and still not ready. Agent very rude and agitated. Maybe staying down in Mesa is advised. Wish I would have known that before planning our afternoon around the park. Thanks Fountain Park Hotel/Best Western ๐Ÿ™

The service was nice. The rooms smelled awful. Like new floors were off-gassing or chemical cleaning agents, maybe pesticides? The windows did not open so we could not air out the room. The tiles in the shower were marked with pencil or something, measurements. Very low-rent of the installer to leave marks on the tile. And even worse that housekeeping didnโ€™t notice either. We only stayed one night so I didnโ€™t bring it up. Bed was super uncomfortable . Staff was busy each time I approached the front desk. Good location. Probably wonโ€™t come back to this hotel. We come here often from Northern Az.

Quiet, clean. Very simple breakfast. You have to request your room to be serviced the night before but at least they will service your room daily. Had a nice stay. Have stayed there before and will again

Excellent location, very nice area to be in. The room was spacious and quiet. The bed was comfy, Ac was the only issue, very noisy, but the room seemed to be updated recently. We walked to restaurants and the walk around the park across the street was very enjoyable. Definitely would stay here again.

This was a one-night get-out-of-town with my wife. Found this hotel and since Best Western has good reputation (been a member of their BW Rewards program of over 30 years) and the pictures on the BW website looked good -- thought we would try it . ||Saw some reviews from last year or two that really panned the property, but we found that the whole hotel had been recently, COMPLETELY remodeled. WOW! The pictures on Tripadvisor and the BW website are EXACTLY what the property looks like. Simple, clean, and very functional -- enough storage space (drawers, shelves, clothes hanging) for a week or two stay. Absolutely no complaints about the property. Bathroom had a huge walk-in shower (we requested that; that also have tub-shower combos) and a unique, huge, electronic light-up mirror (a little, lighted on/of switch in the center of the mirror would light up an LED light strip around the edge of the mirror).||Property was very quiet. It did not appear to be very full, though front desk told me that the nearby Ft McDowell Casino had booked-up and Fountain Park had gotten a lot of overflow from that. Fountain Park had quite a few guests, but not to capacity. People at the front desk were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful.||Continental breakfast was surprising! I've seen "a couple boxes of donuts and a coffee urn" called a "continental breakfast", which is why I always call ahead and get particulars. [Good tip there!] They had microwavable breakfast sandwiches, bagels and cream cheese, cereal, a large selections of sweet rolls, muffins, and breakfast bars. Also yogurt, juice, and coffee. Anything further would have to be called "hot breakfast available".||If you really want to see the famous fountain from your window, ask for an upper floor room with a lake view. [Good tip there!]||We used our BW Rewards membership to get a discounted price and cancellable up to 24 hours ahead. We'll definitely stay at Fountain Park again.
