We had a fantastic stay at The American Motor Hotel in Flagstaff! The vibe is super cool with a retro, laid-back feel that made our time there really fun and comfortable. The motel offers a great selection of drinks at the front desk, which was a nice touch. We especially loved the lawn games and the private, fenced-in dog area for our pups to run around and play. It’s very dog-friendly, which made traveling with our dogs a breeze. We’d definitely recommend The American Motor Hotel to anyone visiting Flagstaff and would love to stay again!

If you are traveling with dogs this place makes its super simple with a dog park on property. The rooms are clean, well decorated and the bed was comfortable. The shower was super simple to use. We will absolutely stay here again. The coffee in the lobby (not until 8am) was GOOD coffee. All in all, well worth the price. And don't forget the disco ball and lighting in the room! Absolutely stellar!

Beautiful rooms! I love the retro astronaut theme. Very clean, pet friendly, and has a dog park, too! It was really easy to park near my room, too. Receptionists were really friendly, and the reception area smelled so good. Right off of I40, easy to get to, beautiful area, too! Very happy with my stay here.

Leaving this review 5 minutes after check in. Dana at the front was so nice checking me in, 2 free complimentary beers on check in (or waters). Super cool retro vibe but feels new. And no pet fee. Can’t beat the value. Americana baby! Stay here and not some stiff corporate place.

Two of us stayed at the Americana with our dog & had a nice visit. They've done a great job with this retro motel, especially having a nice pool & a dog playground.
It would've been a MUCH more pleasant stay had they invested in better insulation between the rooms: We could hear the neighbors' TV and their chattering all night long.
We'd probably stay there again, but next time bring earplugs :-/

This is a great and fun place to stay. The rooms have disco balls, the decor is colorful and fun. Great rec areas for picnic, fire pit, pool and just relaxing outdoors. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, everything is clean and plan to stay everytime I'm in Flagstaff!!

The rooms are super charming and very clean. The staff is always so nice and welcoming, and the property is so charming as well. The restaurant on site, Baja Mar, has really good Mexican food, and the property is also adjacent to an IHOP. We will be back for a 3rd time and more!

I’d definitely stay here again! The room decoration is so cute and quirky. I love the disco balls! My husband and I chose to stay here around Thanksgiving time so we’d have a centrally located base for going to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. I think it’s a good spot, as those places aren’t superrrr far away. Definitely watch out for the Grand Canyon’s entrance wait time, though, as the line to get in is awful haha.

This place is wonderful for the price, and the man who checked us in was super talkative and friendly. On our first night we had a strange problem, a wasp had gotten into our bathroom. We talked to the same guy at the front desk and he had us moved right away with no issues.

The WiFi was a bit spotty, but they gave us a discount at the end to make up for that. Overall, great service and a great place to stay!
