Must go! Perfect for any meal. Love the focus on organic ingredients & healthy options like whole wheat breads/buns, hemp/flax seeds, etc. Food was aesthetically pleasing and delicious. So many vegan desserts options - chocolate cake was to die for 🙂

We found a winner during our travels today - Morning Glory Cafe in the Historic Southside Red Light District of Flagstaff Arizona. Walking up quaint San Fransisco Street, the cafe looked to be a hole-in-the-wall establishment. Inside was a cute and bustling organic, vegan restaurant serving breakfast and lunch.

My husband ordered the Morning Glory Veggie Bowl. It had well-cooked pinto beans, calabacitas (corn and squash), fresh greens, purple cabbage and green sprouts. The sauce in this dish was so good, Jack crumbled tortilla chips into it to soak up the sauce and eat it!

I had the Pesto Tofu Sandwich. It came packed with Arugala, Tomatoes, Avocado and of course, Vegan Pesto all served in a tasty gluten-free bun. [Note: I don’t eat gluten-free and usually dislike gluten-free bread. But THIS bun was excellent!] I enjoyed every bite and it came with chips and salsa.

The menu is filled with delightful breakfast meals, several types of hemp burgers, tempeh dishes and desserts. Many are gluten free. Can’t wait to try the Chocolate Sweet Potato Peanut Butter Brownies we bought for later!

Our meals were delicious and satisfying. If you are looking for honestly organic vegan fare, do try Morning Glory Cafe.

Second time here, and it was even better than my last visit. This place is small and cozy, with well-thought-out dishes prepared by very friendly folks. There may be other vegan options around town, but this is definitely the spot you’re looking for.

Thank you, Morning Glory Cafe!

Although I don’t avoid gluten, I decided on the Biscuits and Gravy before I found out they were gluten free. I’m so glad I did, because they were really delicious. The fresh fruit gave the meal a nice balance, an all around great meal I look forward to having again, next time I’m passing through Flagstaff.

As a vegan passing through Flagstaff, I couldn't not visit Morning Glory Cafe, a local vegan establishment which has been running since 1985! It will definitely remind you of the good ol' hippie granola days of veganism, in the best way possible. It's located in homey surrounds in Flagstaff's historic downtown. The staff are super friendly and will strike up conversation with you. The food is fresh and homemade, and the portion sizes are generous. I really enjoyed their breakfast burrito.

Our van travels always have to include stopping at a vegan restaurant to support the cause, but it’s rare to get to eat at a spot that feels like a bed and breakfast/a charming small town vibe. The employees (and I believe the owner?) were SO pleasant, and the food was amazing!

We ended up getting the maca chaga chia smoothie, berries and cream french toast, and sausage burrito, with a special request for enchilada style. Whipped cream was super yum, fruit was very fresh, and the tofu scramble in the burrito was tastyyyy.

Great welcome into Flagstaff, can’t wait to stop here again the next time we’re headed east!
