The best place we ate on our road trip round America. Super friendly staff, and more importantly fantastic food. So good we planned our trip to then go back the next night. We ate the beef slider (must try), chicken sliders, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and tater tots. All were fantastic

Hands down my favorite place to eat in Flagstaff. Great place for BBQ and Cajun eats. It may seem a little pricey but being both Cajun and originally for Texas, these prices are on par with good BBQ and Cajun food. Portions are also large. French Quarter themed and music for Satchamo himself. I really enjoyed the Hurricane on our last visit.

Went there based on reviews and was very disappointed. The food is lacking. We had the ribs, brisket, smoked beans, red beans and rice, and tatertots.
Ribs and brisket were sad and couldn't be helped. Smoke flavor was present but any other layer of flavor was absent. Even adding the table sauces couldn't lift up those meats.
Smoked beans were very good as was the red beans and rice. The tots stole the show unfortunately, they were our favorite part.

It's been at the top of the list of best BBQ in the area and I can only assume the locals are desperate for anything that's not like everything else in the area.

The only thing I had was the half rack of ribs with sweet BBQ sauce. It was extremely tender (literally falling off the bone) and flavorful. The sauce had a very subtle kick. They offered spicy BBQ sauce too, which I didn't try. The service was fantastic - everyone was friendly and the food actually came out very fast. Unfortunately, this place is definitely not intended for solo diners (such as myself). The half rack was close to $20 on its own. All of the sides were over $10, and came in large
batches intended for groups, so it doesn't even make sense for me to try them by myself. And I'm certainly not interested in spending $40 on myself for one meal. Overall, it was good but I didn't try much. I'd recommend trying it with at least 3 people.

The place was empty when we went about 3pm on a Sunday. It's barbecue place should be packed. The barbecue was okay dry for me taste. Maccaroni was just dry as well. The place is called satchmo's they should be playing some good ol jazz. It was just quiet. One positive is they have a nice patio, which is dog friendly. The server seemed out of it forgot few items we ordered.

Fun place to eat! Really nice people. The ribs were great and I highly recommend the lemonade. The gumbo was way too spicy for me. So much I couldn’t taste the other flavors. So I didn’t eat even half. If you love really spicy gumbo then it’s probably fine. Part of our order was forgotten but the server tried to make it right! We would definitely come back.

This place offers easy parking, friendly employees, and great value for money. It’s perfect for a late lunch at 3 pm. The food was tasty, and the portions were huge.
