It’s pretty obvious that this was once a Motel that has had some renovations done to it. And that would be fine were the rooms not accompanied by prices north of $250/night plus an absurd $36.00 per day for parking. The property, rooms and “views” from some of the rooms simply aren’t worth it. And what precisely is the parking fee for anyway? Since this once was a motel you just park outside your room and go right in. Nothing special to see here folks.

A word on the views- a second floor or Mid Level Red Rocks view room may indeed have a view of Red Rocks…behind several buildings and other obstructions….hardly worth the extra cost in my opinion. We were able to get moved to a third floor room that offered expansive views ultimately and that was appreciated.

What was far less appreciated was the garbage truck at 5:30 in the morning. I’m uncertain what say the property has in their pickup time, but I can’t be the first guest to be a little miffed by this.

The little things make a big difference in a stay and this property struck out on all the little things in my opinion. Knock $100 off your nightly rate and get rid of your parking fee entirely and you’d be charging what your property is actually worth. Don’t call obstructed views views. Talk to your contractors about how your guests like to sleep without listening to the banging of dumpsters. Act like you give a darn.

Maybe I came in with the right expectations after reading other reviews, but I have to say I enjoyed my stay! I got upgraded to a beautiful view with my Marriott status. Lots of public spaces, including a great breakfast area. Room wasn’t anything fancy and could use some updates, but I did enjoy the meditation class in the morning and the nearby trails!

This property is a gem! The room was great and walked out onto a large shared patio with a fire pit and stunning views. Every staff person was so attentive and welcoming. When we checked in we were give n the option to choose a spirit stone. It was magnificent. We experienced a sound bath, yoga and some hella good music in the lobby bar. It was sensational. This hotel has thought of every little detail and is conveniently located in the center of Sedona. I have stayed here twice and will keep coming back!

We were disappointed with this hotel! Upon arrival, there was only one receptionist at the front desk, and she was not pleasant or welcoming. The room had a wall heating/cooling system that makes a loud clicking noise when it comes on and ago when it goes off. This is very disruptive at times when you are trying to rest. The door to the outside also had a large gap at the bottom.
We reserved the room, parking, and breakfast package. On the first day there was only one person there and she was taking breakfast orders by the person and/or couple. This was very time consuming! On the second day the breakfast area was set up in a buffet style. This was much better. However, there were no healthy options, no juice, no tea packets, or hot water.
The views were spectacular. However, the experience was not what we expected based on price and expectations!
The check out experience was worse than the check-in process! There was one person, and she was so rude as I walked up the counter and asked, "How can I help you"! I had to pause in shock at the tone of the words! She never looked up at me during the entire conversation!
This was my worst experience ever at a hotel of this caliber!!! We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and our biggest regret was this entire hotel stay! It is not something we expected for a Tribute Portfolio Hotel!

Marriott has branded so many properties with so many different designations that you never really know what to expect until you arrive at the front desk. This property is yet another perfect example of that growing confusion. Designated a "Tribute Portfolio" property would lead one to expect a resort of superior quality, but that is not what we found. The actual accommodations were much more in line with a Quality Inn or Motel 6. Do not even remember the last time we stayed in a hotel that did not have a refrigerator or microwave, or which provided absolutely ZERO amenities of ANY type. NO coffee cups, NO glasses (even plastic), only 3 Decaf coffee pods & NO sugar/cream/stir sticks etc. NO makeup remover pads OR soap at the sink etc. No such amenities were in the room & none were brought the following day even though we requested it with housekeeping. Also don't be fooled by the website photos of the beautiful surroundings. Building is a stair-step design, so MANY rooms face the 2 level parking lots & some face walls (see attached photos). Restaurant & bar are part of an open lobby, which does, in fact, offer a spectacular view, but the only rooms we saw that offered similar views were numbered 500-510. Bar & restaurant only opened for breakfast, then closed in the afternoon & reopened for a few hours in the evening, so don't plan on having food & drink options available during the day. The place was obviously having staffing issues, but all the staff we encountered were pleasant, if somewhat stressed out. Would definitely not return to Sky Rock since there are MANY far better options in Sedona, including other Marriott-branded properties. Will also avoid other resorts branded as "Tribute Portfolio" properties, since we have been previously disappointed by other such Marriott properties.

Great hotel! This place has everything. The rooms are very nice, clean, and comfortable beds. The view is amazing. Wonderful costumer service. Has a cozy bar and life music. My friends and I come here for our Galentine reunion and the place was perfect. ❤️

My husband and I stayed for a weekend. We had the best time! The rooms were super nice, but our favorite place to be was the patio or lobby. The patio overlooked the red rocks, and had fire pits for the evening. We sat there and played games. The lobby had a patio as well with another amazing view. They also had live music, a bar, and a moon rise ceremony.

We had a great time!

The best welcome! From the second you walk in the doors you are welcomed and made to feel like you are their only guest! The rooms are clean and inviting! The bartender is amazing. The GM, Austin and front desk staff are superb! There’s nothing to change! Keep doing amazing work!
