Great location, convenient facilities, and friendly staff.

However, I wouldn’t stay at this lodge again for several reasons.

(1) Strange Smell: The room had an unusual smell that made it difficult for me to relax. It reminded me of formaldehyde or something similar, which affected my comfort and sleep quality. Instead of fully enjoying the beautiful nature of the Grand Canyon, I found it challenging to rest properly.

(2) Unreliable Room Key: Last night, our room keys suddenly stopped working, and we couldn’t open the door. Although we received new keys upon request, no one explained what had happened. It was a very strange experience, and there was no apology from the staff.

(3) Inconsistent Water Supply: The water supply fluctuated drastically depending on other guests’ usage. Additionally, the faucet in the restroom was leaking, and the button (or handle) was malfunctioning, making showering even more difficult. I was just hoping the water wouldn’t stop completely while I was showering.

Please consider these factors carefully and decide whether this lodge is right for you based on your own preferences.

We had an excellent trip to the Grand Canyon and the Maswik Lodge. Outstanding visit to our National Park via Maswik lodge. Our room was clean and quiet. Good pizza at the pizza place, too. We'll be back!

We stayed in one of the new buildings with elevators which was very convenient. The
rooms were clean, well-maintained, and designed for comfort, making them a great choice for visitors seeking a relaxing retreat after a day of hiking or sightseeing. It was also quiet in the area. There were some on-site dining options though the selection was limited.
The hotel is close to key amenities of the Grand Canyon which makes it an excellent base for exploring the area.

This was an inexpensive option in the park so I booked it. It was absolutely a great experience. The location is a quick 8 to 10 minute walk to the canyon. Easy parking and the rooms were fine, clean with everything you need. Lots of dining options which was a plus. everybody at the front was nice upon checkout, questions on the park, etc. My expectations were low but I would 100% recommend.

Checkin was efficient and friendly, even with an early arrival. My room in the Gambel Oak building was spacious, clean, and had a nice outdoor sitting area facing trees. Bed was comfortable, good shower and fridge, as well as coffee and tea. Location was 10 minutes easy walk max from the rim. ||My only issue, partly my fault, was housekeeping walking in to my room while I was showering. They quickly left, when they realized I was still there. I panicked a bit when I saw the door open, because I didn’t hear them speak up; I thought someone was breaking in! And it was only 8am!! I should have put the do not disturb sign out, and bolted the door. So if you stay there, keep the dnd sign on and door bolted until you leave. ||Price varies significantly depending on demand. I paid $350- way too much for what is just a decent motel.

This is right inside the Grand Canyon NP and was affordable since we stayed for one night during Feb time. The rooms were cleaned and specious. Only part missing we felt was the don’t provide microwave in the rooms. They do have tv and a small refrigerator. Restaurant and welcome desk is not far from the buildings where rooms are located. They have recently renewed buildings so it would recommended if you are visiting this NP and want to stay close to main attractions in the park

This is the basic motel for the South Rim Grand Canyon Village. The rooms are comfy and ours was pretty big. It has a great location near the South Rim Hospitality complexes. Easy walk to Bright Angel and El Tovar. They did NOT offer house keeping during our stay but did give us extra towels, etc. etc. so it was not an issue for our 2 nights. The price point was good since you are at the Grand Canyon. Recommend it!

This beautiful complex, set in the middle of the forest at only a few hundred meters fron the actual Canyon rim, gave us a blissful stay. We had 2 rooms in the north complex, Mesquite building. The rooms were large, comfy, basic but fairly clean, with excellent beds. We really appreciated the minimal artificial lightning all around the complex, that allows to enjoy the night sky and the night wildlife, that remains undisturbed. Walking around the resort is very easy and delightful thanks to the outstanding flora and fauna. The Maswik food court provides good food at fair prices. The shuttle buses services all around the village and the whole park is excellent, and the stops are very close to the lodge. The staff is kind and welcoming. The overall experience is just great: I would come back any time... if only I could!!
