When we ordered our food, we made it clear that we wanted the food cooked. Crispy bacon. Crispy hashbrowns. Eggs over medium with no slime. We even jokingly said to deep fry everything. The waitress said: "except the toast" and we all laughed.

Most of our food was delivered undercooked. Some of us had to wait for food to be properly cooked while others ate. The pancake was raw in the middle. The grits had clumps the size of large jelly beans. The bacon was no where near cooked enough. The eggs were over easy vs. over medium. The ham might have spent a couple minutes on the grill for one side... but the other side of the ham never touched the grill/stove.

Perhaps the cook was new or the stove was new? Either way all food should be properly cooked the 1st time.

I looked up the reviews, and on almost 3k reviews , it's on 3.9 rating, which is not great , but since this location was closer, we decided to give it a chance.

Servicewise is standard, place is clean and confortable.
American breakfast dine standards, not bad. The waffles machine was broken, so there were no waffles. My pancakes were crispy on the outside, but raw inside, I couldn't eat. The house potatoes were also undercooked.

I guess it wasn't a good day for the chef ! It is an ok diner,

beautiful resturant with lots of menu options and all day breakfast. Been here a few times but this time i got the Taco Salad which was MASSIVE and delicious.

Service can be occasionally slow during the busy hours

We've been to several Black Bear Diners and the service and food are always great! I had the smaller portion of Country Fried steak and my wife had roasted turkey. The service was great!

I had dinner; the meatloaf. Staff was short-handed. They did their best. I blame management for that, not the staff. The food was ok. Not great, not bad. Just ok. They lost my order so it took longer to get my meal. The waitress was extremely apologetic. Just a mediocre experience all around.

Stopped in and ordered a quick lunch; coffee, tuna-melt on rye with a salad. The salad had all the vegetables. It wasn't just a few pieces of lettuce with a little bit of tomato, it was a nice full salad. The tuna-melt was grilled to perfection. My server was Sarah. She was a very busy lady, taking customer orders, wiping down tables, ringing people up at the register and replenishing cups, all the while being very attentive and pleasant. I highly recommend giving the "Black Bear" Restaurant a try.

i have ordered delivery twice in the last month & this is definitely my favorite diner in the area. Idk what the atmosphere or service is like, but from seeing the pictures & looking at other reviews, i trust that this place is 11/10
