When I arrived at the Lodge on the Desert, I felt like I had discovered a slice of paradise. My stay was simply delightful, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tucson. The front desk staff were attentive and friendly and truly made me feel welcome throughout my visit.

My room was spacious and charming, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of working out in town. I was also impressed by the restaurant's fabulous breakfast and dinner options and top-notch service that enhanced the overall dining experience.

My only regret was not enjoying a dip in the pool—it looked absolutely glorious! Thank you to everyone at the Lodge on the Desert for taking such good care of me during my stay.

On a recent birthday trip to Tucson to visit Saguaro National Park, we were lucky enough to spend a weekend staying at the Lodge on the Desert. The property oozes historic charm, the staff was friendly and helpful, and our room (fireside casita #138) was divine. We had a little sitting area in front of a fireplace to hang out and relax after exploring and hiking during the day, and we enjoyed our stay immensely. |We had breakfast and one dinner at Cielos, the restaurant on property, and loved that, as well. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere and energy are historic and private. A quiet oaks in midtown Tucson with large grounds, a wonderful restaurant with employees who are like a family. |Guests are treated beautifully, and the hotel goes above and beyond to take care of guests’ needs. |This is always my hotel choice in the Tucson region. |You’ll never forget your visit here. And always will want to come back. |Visit for the lovely historic architecture and charming rooms. Many have fireplaces and some are historic casitas. |I hope the heart of this hotel and grounds remain unchanged regardless of ownership. |Altering it would be a terrible disservice to the many who love this place. ||Rooms are interesting and fun to stay in, with a varied array of options and pricing. ||I know Tucson well and this is hands down the best hotel in the entire region.

I had never been to this hotel before I saw it on TA. I live in California, but needed a place to stay in Tucson and plan a family memorial. I had a celebration of life at this hotel, and couldn't have been happier with the results. The young, and attentive staff, couldn't have been more helpful. Special thanks to James who helped organize the event. Everything was great. Good food, charming old Tucson ambiance, & lovely grounds. We staying in the older section of the Lodge and liked the feel of the room. It showed a little wear and tear, but was clean and comfortable. One family member stayed in the newer remodeled section of the Lodge and was very happy with her spacious room. I also liked the location. Right in the center of town, but only 18 minutes from the airport. I recommend this Lodge.

We had an excellent stay. The place is spacious, very clean, and has great views. The kitchen included everything we needed for a meal, the grill was clean and easy to operate, and the bathrooms/bedrooms are spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the deck after a full day, sipping our wine and enjoying the amazing view. We had never visited Sedona before and were happy with the location – it was easy to visit the wineries from here, take a jeep tour, and drive to hiking spots. I highly recommend staying here!

My family and I stayed here over the weekend of January 10th, and it was a lovely experience. To be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure what to expect, and I'll admit I was looking around at possible back-ups at the usual Hilton/Marriott properties I am familiar with during my flight into Tucson. Goodness, I was pleasantly surprised.

We reserved a Fireside Casita Double Queen room, and it was so spacious, unlike anything else I've ever experienced. The gas fireplace was a very nice touch, we enjoyed gathering around it to warm up in the evening. The property grounds were immaculate, and I was taken aback by how the cleanliness and vibe were consistent throughout. I really liked how the cactus garden was akin to a sculpture garden as we walked through the paths.

The staff was phenomenal. I arrived very early, and was able to leave my bag as the room wasn't available. When I did return to get my keys later that day, some woman was absurdly berating the front desk staff. Despite the tantrum she threw, they held their professional demeanor, and I applaud them on how they managed such childish behavior. Shame on her.

We'll absolutely be back to Tucson, and will make Lodge on the Desert our top property of choice when we return. Cheers!

Absolutely insane to me that for $350 for just a single night, you get a room that has cockroach carcass, a shower that doesn’t have a door so water gets all over the bathroom floor, bathroom faucet that doesn’t drain, get hot water, plus bad flow. And THEN the whole reason for booking the room, the restaurant doesn’t allow us to get a table? How does clients that have a room reserved not have first priority? Disappointed to say the least, in the value of stay for the outstanding cost
