This hotel is closed down. It has not operated in over a year. The ownership has been tossed around for years, and it is not clean or safe to stay in. I tried to work there and make changes, but it is not possible. This place should be permanently close down and be demolished. All the roofs, water sources, septic, and floors are all rotten. Mice are uncontrollable. I killed 35 in one month. Nothing is done, and won't be done, because it is a money pit. The pictures on this main page for review are not even the property, those are down the street, of an old abandoned shack. The address on here is incorrect. It is actually next door to Bobs Hardware, google that address and you can see the actual buildings. The only thing that is operable there is the laundry mat, and those are broken most of the time. I do not recommend Elfrida for anything except for the Churches, The American Eagle Storage, and the Kountry Kafe restaurant. The Catholic Church there is ran by friars, and they are very community minded. The Mormon Church also has a great group of young people that come through and try to talk to folks. The regular people that are community minded, are over ran by the drug heads, meth users & dealers, and burglary is a regular occurrence. There is nothing that they won't steal, including toilet paper out of the laundry mat restroom. I wouldnt recommend anyone live there.

I haven't stayed here, but I've visited briefly on several occasions. It's currently the only accommodation available in Elfrida as far as I know. From what I've been told, it's primarily used for long-term accommodation, as rentals in Elfrida are scarce.
There are studio-style units at the front, and larger units with kitchenettes around the back. There is a laundromat on the street side of the building.
It's located on the main street (Hwy 191), next door to the hardware store and across the street from the Family Dollar, so there can be quite a bit of traffic noise at times. Currently, the signage is such that you wouldn't know what it was unless you were looking really carefully for it. Cellphone reception is difficult to get in the building, but there are no landlines.
It's under new ownership and management. It's had a bad reputation, but the new management is working to change that. Let's hope the new owners will make the much-needed repairs on the place. It's going to need a lot of work to bring it up to snuff. Currently, I wouldn't recommend it unless you're desperate, especially if you're traveling with children. I look forward to the day that I can change my rating to a lot more stars.

on a recent bike trip, my bro in law and I landed in Elfrida. I highly recommend the Valley Lodge. Our room was clean, plenty of hot water, and a comfy bed. The owner and his son made sure we had what we needed. I would stay there again.. a haven for bicyclists. Also, two good places nearby for chow.

They don't have rooms available, they rent them out weekly, is really not a very reliable place. You have to call them before and usually they are not there at the motel. 0 🌟
