We didn't stay there, but the bird sanctuary part is vastly overlooked in the Sierra Vista area. There are several birding gardens and this is one of the best. It is large with several paths and places to sit with feeders.. We saw at least three Violet-crowned Hummingbirds there in late February. In addition to the great birds, there are lots of trees for natural shade.

I had a lovely, calming and rejuvenating stay at the Tranquil Hummingbird cabin. The property was ideal for gentle nature walks and quiet reflection. The flora and fauna were gorgeous, and it was an easy walk to the Ramsey Canyon preserve where I also went daily. I definitely look forward to returning and recommend this site for anybody who wants time in a cozy cabin near beautiful birdwatching and peaceful nature.

Our Cowboy Cabin cottage was clean, very comfortable, furnished to feel like home. The surroundings were beautiful with wild turkey and deer roaming the property. There were lots of bird feeders and outdoor seating spots along the trails.

The AZ Folklore Preserve and Ramsey Canyon Nature Preserve were a short walk away, another big plus!

We visited for the day to enjoy the grounds and see birds. The owner met us out front and showed us where we could find the Violet-crowned hummingbird I was hoping to see. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. The bird garden is amazing, I could have stayed there all day. The rest of the property is beautifully taken care of with feeders and quiet places to sit and observe throughout. Don’t miss this place if you’re in the area!

Our family, two adults and a teenager, had a lovely experience. We went hiking and mountain biking just down the road around Brown Canyon Ranch. Tons of deer and turkeys came by the cabin and were friendly. We really liked the mountain views from the patio. The cabin was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We would come again.

We were day visitors for 2 days and had a very memorable bird-filled experience.

Greg was very friendly and knowledgeable about identifying the birds and giving tips on where to find them. The bird garden was very lovely.

The site also has rare or uncommon species (according to ebird) such as Violet Crowned Hummingbird and Lincoln's Sparrow.

We definitely want to visit there again.

We just spent 2 nights in the Relaxing Cowboy Cabin & had a wonderful time! Everything was very clean & extremely comfortable. We especially loved all the wildlife - from flocks of wild turkeys to white tailed deer that came by for a drink just outside our door! There were also hummingbird and other bird feeders everywhere that brought in a great variety of birds! We’ve already decided to stay there again!

Beautiful location. The bird watching right outside the front door was magical. We saw a many turkeys, dozens of hummingbirds, deer, woodpeckers and other birds (mostly there for the hummies). Almost better than Ramsey Canyon itself and that is saying a lot. The cabin was in perfect condition. The hosts were very nice, responsive and super helpful. Top notch!
