The smell at the front door should have told us to turn around and leave. Strong smell of sewage. We went in anyway. The place was empty. Another red flag but we still sat down. The dining room was clean and didn’t smell bad. The food was terrible. Meat tasted bad, beans may have been bad. Rice was instant. The only thing good was the sour cream and avocado. Ice tea didn’t taste right either. Yes the old lady is very strange. I don’t recommend eating here at all!! I would give this place a negative rating if I could.

This place was disgusting do not go here the chip bowl had built up Grease and left my fingers sticky. The staff was rude and unatentive
The old lady was creepy and wouldn't take my complaints seriously once we showed her how bad the food was and showed that we could not even finish a second bite, she continued to disregard the complaints we had and accused us of just trying to not pay for the food. She also stated that we were the first to ever complain about the food even while looking at the other bad reviews when she stated this.
The Alamo burger looked like fake play doh meat ,I was terrified to even eat it, and had seemed like mystery meat, when I confronted the old lady from the kitchen she told me the meat was "grade A top cut sirloin and ground Angus beef" two different things!!! The meat was also very watery when you squeezed it)
And the Carne asada burrito had a strong oder, smelling like dirty feet. My family and I also heard the microwave going off nonstop the whole time they were preparing our orders.
My family and I all left with severe stomach problems after going here. If 0 stars was an option I would select it! DO NOT EAT HERE!

Ordered fajitas. The tortillas were homemade and delicious. Unfortunately, the fajita meat was edible but I could have made better fajitas at home...

After receiving the coffee I saw, not one, but two dead mosquitoes in my coffee cup. In addition to it, the service wasn't good, so we decide to cancel the order and go elsewhere.
Inside the restaurant did look clean.

The food was nearly tasteless. My "fajita" was served on a plate, not a sizzling cast iron pan, and was warm, but not hot. Our server (perhaps the owner) was so crabby and unfriendly, it felt like we were angering him with our presence.

Very friendly people. We stopped here out of our way and asked to use their restroom. Without hesitation they said yes. I respect that so we decided to order some food for the road. So glad we did. It was very good!!

Staff is friendly... The steak and margaritas are ok to good. But everything else we have tried on the menu is like going to a friend's house and their mom is a really bad cook. Shrimp cocktail was mainly water, Alamo burger taste like cheap reprocessed hotdog, fajitas were sad and tasted like the boiled leftover meat. Every one that ate with us had bad diarrhea after eating here, thought it might be a fluke and we came back a couple more times to try other items and were were equally disappointed and got equally as sick. Not sure how you can mess up Mexican food this close to border. But if you are constipated and enjoy unseasoned/bland boiled food that resembles Mexican cuisine give this place a try.
